1.2 The Ten-Year Program

The program combines film production with permanent local operations. Films are produced internationally with local crews. Festivals establish the relationships and infrastructure needed to continue working in each country after the event.

StrandWhat is fundedPlanned output
Green Me Film ProductionEnvironmental feature films, individual movie SPVs and owned production studios20, 44 or 220 films, depending on scope; one studio at half and core scope, three at extended scope
Green Me Festivals & LocalFestivals, premises, resident teams, and long-term relationships with schools, universities, NGOs, companies and public bodies11 new countries entered each year; permanent operations in 55 or 103 countries; seven regional headquarters

Each country operation receives a one-off establishment budget. The financial plan assumes that it will later fund its recurring activities through local and international sponsorship, joint ventures and premises income. Once established, each festival edition is expected to cost between EUR 350,000.00 and EUR 1,500,000.00.

1.3 Funding Request

The request is presented in three cumulative scopes. Each scope is complete in itself and extends the assets and operations funded at the previous level.

1.4 Why the Two Strands Work Together

Green Me Film Production provides the films, production activity and stories. Green Me Festivals & Local provides local partners, sponsors, audiences, educational relationships and a permanent base for follow-up work.

The local network reduces the need to rebuild these relationships for every film and every country. The films give the network original content around which to organise festivals, partnerships and public discussion. Sections 6 and 8 provide further detail on the commercial model and track record.
